ACA Level 1/2 Intro to Kayaking/Essentials of Kayak Touring Instructor Certification Workshop

This 3-day intensive ACA Instructor Certification Workshop includes practice and development, and assessment towards an ACA Instructor Certification. 

An American Canoe Association (ACA) Level 2: Essentials of Kayak Touring (EKT) Instructor’s Certification Workshop (ICW) provide the participants with the opportunity to fine tune their
kayaking strokes, maneuvers, and rescues and to develop their teaching ability of these.
Additionally, ICWs develop a participant’s group management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
that are necessary to become an effective instructor. Successful completion of the ICW leads to an
L2: EKT Instructor Certification with the American Canoe Association.
This is not a course to teach participants how to paddle, rather a course to develop their instructing
skills.
The course is sponsored by Osprey Sea and Surf Adventures and will be conducted by John
Browning. John has been kayaking for over 30 years and has instructed kayaking for over 25 of those
years. John is an ACA Certified Instructor Trainer Educator.
